Earn college credits while still in high school. A head start you can’t pass up.
Still in high school but ready for college courses? At Southern you can earn college credits that will get you a head start on your college career.
Dual Enrollment classes are available in conjunction with high schools in our service area that will count for both high school and college credits.
High school students who have at least a 3.0 grade point average in high school are eligible to take dual credit courses at reduced tuition. By taking dual credit courses, you can enter college with credits that will allow you to graduate sooner and pay less tuition. If you choose to take general education courses, they will transfer to any public four-year college or university as earned college credit.
EDGE credits are selected high school courses that will transfer to two year Community and Technical Colleges in West Virginia. They are available for transfer by submitting to Southern your official EDGE transcript. Be sure to tell your college advisor if you have EDGE credits.
