Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College has partnered with a new internet service provider to offer superior dial-up internet access, according to Ron Hamilton, Chief Technology Officer at Southern. For current customers of Southern/WVNET, the switchover will only take minutes. The connection can be made via a local phone call and you do not have to be a Verizon customer to use this service. The service is $12.95 per month and customers will receive the same friendly service from the College's help desk. In addition, you will be helping Southern provide new technology for students, Hamilton said. With the new service, customers can have up to five email accounts and 4mb of space for web pages. You may choose your own email address and password when signing up. For more information call (304) 792-7098, extension 274.
