Coal Education Development and Resources (CEDAR) of Southern West Virginia hosted the Fifth Regional Coal Fair this week at the Larry Joe Harless Center in Gilbert. The event featured award winning coal related projects developed by students in Logan , Boone, McDowell, Wyoming and Mingo counties. The Tug Valley Mine Institute held its monthly meeting at the Gilbert center on April 6 which featured guest speaker Steve Leer, President and CEO of Arch Coal, Inc. Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College was a sponsor of this year's CEDAR events.
