Eunice Hairston, a member of the Logan/Boone NAACP, is shown during a Candlelight Vigil held February 27th at the Logan Church of the Nazarene. The event kicked off Harmony Week 2006 sponsored by Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College, Appalread and the local NAACP.The guest speaker at the Candlelight Vigil at the Logan Church of the Nazarene was the Right Reverend Alphonso Heyliger from the Ferguson Memorial Baptist Church.
Musical performances featured the Christian Fellowship Praise Team, the Guyan District Youth, the Guyan District Men's Choir and pianist, Mrs. Eileen Bell. Pictured are Southern employees Ron Lemon, Randy Skeens, Cindy Crigger, Rev. Heyliger and President Joanne Jaeger Tomblin.
