2006 Harmony Week Multi-Cultural Luncheon

Vinnie Kudva, a professor at Southern, really enjoyed the interactive drum playing spearheaded by the world renowned Drum Cafe' during their performance on March 3rd at the Earl Ray Tomblin Convention Center.

Logan County Schools Superintendent David Godby and Peggy Vance also enjoyed the lively drum playing. Students from Logan, Chapmanville, Man, Beth Haven and Burch attended the multi-cultural luncheon.

Members of the Drum Cafe' set the upbeat musical tone by interacting with the crowd of 500 people that attended the multi-cultural luncheon. All In Good Taste prepared a menu which included foods from America, Appalachia, Italy, Asia, India, Mexico, Africa, Hungary, and Germany.

Representatives from Southern's Harmony Week 2006 Steering Committee included: Ron Thompson, Patsy Cutlip, Joanne Jaeger Tomblin, Allyn Sue Barker, Ron Lemon, Alene Eagles, Cindy Crigger, Christine Browning, Jamie Cope and Randy Skeens.
