Work has begun at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College to construct a new Allied Health and Technology Center which will be located adjacent to the Logan Campus. The facility will stand four stories tall and contain approximately 55,000 square feet of space. The new structure, slated to open in the fall of 2007, will provide Southern with additional room to offer many new programs and educational opportunities to those living in southern West Virginia. The majority of the funding for the facility came from higher education bonds. The general contractor for the project is BBL Carlton Construction Services Professionals in Charleston, WV.
