Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College conducted its Allied Health Pinning Ceremony on Friday, May 12 at the Earl Ray Tomblin Convention Center.
Graduates from Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, Radiologic Technology, and Emergency Medical Services received their individual program pins and recited professional oaths.
According to Pamela L. Alderman, Administrative Vice President and Dean of Allied Health, there were 78 graduates from these four programs.
Special awards were presented to students by the program coordinators, Katherine Deskins, BS, EMT-P; Barbara Donahue, RN, MSN; Vernon Elkins, MA,BS, MT(ASCP), CLS(NCA) and Eva Hallis, MS, RT, R. Southern is known throughout the state and nationally for its successful Allied Health programs and student passage rates.
