Future Energy Leaders
Michael A. John, vice-president of operations for Chesapeake Energy Corporation's Eastern Division, presented a check in the amount of $25,000 to the Vision 2020 Major Gifts Campaign at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College. The donation will be used to train quality employees for the energy industries. John said the financial commitment to Southern was for a "long-term partnership" aimed at workforce training.
Pictured l-r, are Director for Development Ronald E. Lemon, President Joanne Jaeger Tomblin and Mr. John. Southern has already raised $5,000,000 toward the campaign's $7,000,000 goal by the year 2010. The overall campaign goal is $20,000,000 by the year 2020.
