A "Harmony and Peace" theme program was celebrated on Sunday, February 18 at the Logan Street Baptist Church as part of Black History Month events in Williamson. The keynote speaker was Dr. Hazo W. Carter, Jr., president of West Virginia State University. He was introduced by his wife, the Honorable Judge Phyllis Carter. Joanne Jaeger Tomblin, president of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College invited everyone to attend the college's Harmony Week 2007 events, which will highlight a performance by The Drum Cafe' on March 2nd at the Chief Logan Conference Center. Sunday's program was sponsored by NAACP Williamson Branch and Youth Council in partnership with Southern. Pictured are l-r, President Tomblin, Willene H.
