Cosmetology Clinic Ribbon Cutting

Shear excitement...Joanne Jaeger Tomblin, president of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College, is shown cutting the ribbon during the March 25th grand opening celebration at the college's Cosmetology Clinic located in downtown Madison, WV. Tours of the new facility were provided by Instructor Joan Thompson and a reception followed hosted by her students.

Services provided at the new clinic include shampoo and hair cut, perm, highlights, manicure, pedicure, facial, waxing and more. The public may schedule an appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by calling (304) 369-2964. The clinic is located on the fourth floor of the Professional Building located at 331 State Street. This is the first year Southern has offered a two-year degree in Cosmetology/Salon Management, which also focuses on business ownership. Currently, there are 15 students enrolled and they are scheduled to graduate in 2009.
