The Wyoming Campus is partnering with Workforce West Virginia and the Talent Team from the Federal Bureau of Prisons to recruit applicants to fill several positions at the new federal prison. The prison will be located near the Wyoming-McDowell County line and is on target for completion in early 2010. The Federal Correctional Institute will house approximately 1,152 medium security and 128 minimum security adult male offenders.
There will be 320-340 positions filled and interviews will begin in September or October of 2009. The staff will include Correctional Officers, Food Service, Medical, Educational, Recreation, Religious Services, Psychology Services, Employee Services, Financial Management, IT Services, Safety, Administrative Assistants, and Facilities.
To apply, you must be a United States citizen and have not reached your 37th birthday with the exception of Physician Assistant, Dental Officer, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, and Chaplains of some faith traditions. Psychologists may be waived up to the date immediately preceding their 40th birthday.
