Southern’s Appalachian Leadership Academy is currently recruiting for its 2010 class of Cotiga Fellows.  The mission of the Appalachian Leadership Academy is “To identify Southern students with outstanding character and prepare them with the leadership and diversity skills needed to serve as engaged, conscientious citizens as they enter the business, political, and academic world.”

Cotiga Development Company recently gave a generous financial gift to the Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College Foundation. The gift will be used to increase the number of scholarships.

Logan, WV - Cotiga Development Company recently established four scholarships following a generous donation to the Southern West Virginia Community College Foundation. The scholarships are named for key company representatives including John V. Ramey, Stuart Wood (founder of Cotiga), Edward Randolph Wood and Richard D. Wood, II.
