The John Henry: The Steel Drivin' Man exhibit is currently on display at the Wyoming/McDowell Campus, Room 117, through April 29. This exhibit was designed by West Virginia University students and gives viewers a better understanding of the legend of the famous steel driver who defeated a mechanized steam drill.

Burch High School principal Jada Hunter, was the 2010 recipient of the Harmony 365 Award, entitled "Believe, Achieve and Succeed". The presentation was made by President Joanne Jaeger Tomblin during a Board of Governors meeting held at the Logan campus of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College.
