Southern also has an underground mine simulation to provide hands-on training to prepare and enhance student knowledge of what to expect underground. This is the industry's first of its kind. This underground simulation feels and looks just like a real mine. Utilizing various work labs will increase the miners ability to be a safer, more efficient worker.
