Dr. Anne Cline, September Faculty of the Month

Dr. Anne Cline is Southern's September 2012 Faculty of the Month. Read her nomination below:

I would like to nominate Dr. Anne Cline for faculty of the month.  Anne is a true asset to our institution as she brings an exceptional level of expertise from the University of Columbia and the University of Chicago.  Southern couldn't ask of a more dedicated and inspiring professor.   I continually hear positive comments from students when they enter my classes telling me of how passionate she is in regards to her field of study.  She is enthusiastic, dependable, and willing to do whatever it takes to grab and hold students interest in the sciences.  Dr. Cline is extremely outgoing and is willing to share her knowledge when and wherever she is asked.  Dr. Cline has rearranged her schedule to meet the needs of students and the Head Start Program, and she has gone out of her way to put together a tutoring schedule to ensure student success.  Her love for education is noticeable every moment she is seen working with students on classroom projects in the hallways.  Above all this, Dr. Cline is funny, interesting, and a pleasure to work with.

Dr. Cline is worth so much to Southern that allowing her the honor of being Faculty of the Month is an understatement.  She is an essential part of the faculty at Southern, and I truly wish her the best throughout her career.  I know that Southern wouldn't be the same without her.

Thank you, Dr. Cline. You are an inspiration to us all.
