Southern and Kentucky School of Optometry Sign Agreement

Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College and University of Pikeville’s Kentucky College of Optometry officials have signed a memorandum of understanding allowing qualifying students the opportunity for direct entry into the program. Students may complete as many as 90 credit hours at Southern to fulfill the requirements for entry. The Kentucky College of Optometry at the University of Pikeville is committed to honoring these courses and will guarantee the admittance of three Southern students to the program annually. This agreement is one of many ways that Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College is committed to extending opportunities to students throughout the region. Southern also has MOUs in place with a number of other regional institutions.
