Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College Offering Free Financial Workshops

March is “National Credit Education Month”, and Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College is celebrating by offering a FREE Financial Literacy Workshop Series for our local communities. The workshops will be led by Stephanie Mounts, Business Instructor at Southern.

The first series of workshops will begin March 14 in Logan, and March 19 in Williamson, with each series beginning at 5:30 p.m. Topics to be discussed include: “Changing Your Life Through Better Money Management”; “Dealing with Debt”; and “Jumpstart Savings on a Limited Budget.”

On March 21, the second series of workshops will begin on our Logan campus, and on March 26 in Williamson, both beginning at 5:30 p.m. Topics to be discussed include “Saving Through Tax Refunds” and “Protecting Against Common Types of Fraud.”
