The Southern West Virginia Community College Foundation held its annual Golf Tournament and Dinner on August 25th at the Logan Country Club. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Earl Ray Tomblin Community Service Awards.

This award was established in 1995 by the Southern West Virginia Community College Foundation to honor the Senate President's outstanding service in the West Virginia Legislature and for his tireless efforts in serving the community, civic involvement and contributions to economic development.

Pictured are Southern Foundation President George Kostas; the 2005 Earl Ray Tomblin Community Service Award recipients, Roger Bryant, Judy McCormick and Liz Spurlock; Senate President and Lieutenant Governor Earl Ray Tomblin; and Southern President Joanne Jaeger Tomblin. Bryant, McCormick and Spurlock were presented with a plaque recognizing them for their outstanding contributions to southern West Virginia.
