Joe Bundy, who portrayed African-American Educator Booker T. Washington, took time to shake hands with students who attended the Williamson Campus Youth Day held at the National Guard Armory. Bundy also gave performances at Riverside Elementary and Burch High School.

Mrs. Tina Turk, a retired Mingo County teacher, gave a presentation about her native country, Greece, during Youth Day events held on March 1st and 2nd at the National Guard Armory in Williamson. Mrs. Turk is shown sharing a story about "Worry Beads" carried by men in Greece to help break bad habits.

Burch High School Principal Jada Hunter is shown during the Williamson Campus Youth Day with a hand carved statue which is part of her African heritage collection. She also had a display of unique items including baskets, musical instruments and clothing. Students from Burch, Matewan and Williamson attended the event.
