On February 18, 2008, the Wyoming/McDowell County Campus of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College celebrated Harmony Day. The keynote speaker was Dr. Albert Walker, President of Bluefield State College. Harmony Day at the Campus is part of a week long celebration at Southern each February to recognize and celebrate the diversity of the communities it serves. Over 40 students, faculty, and staff attended the event.
