INSTRUCTOR - NURSING

$3,503 per month / Nine-month term faculty appointment

Campus:  Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College, Moorefield, West Virginia. Responsibilities:  All faculty positions are full-time "term" faculty appointments with excellent fringe benefits.  Southern WV Community & Technical College seeks innovative instructors committed to community college students and their success.  The successful applicant will:  Utilize various technologies in the classroom and for distance delivery of instruction; have all other duties of a full-time instructor such as committee assignments and advising students; have ability to work effectively with supervisor, colleagues, staff and students as part of an education team; and write and update curricula including course outlines and syllabi as required by the institution or industry trends.  Requirements:  Bachelors Degree in Nursing and two years recent relevant professional medical/surgical and/or maternity nursing experience required; must be willing to enroll in MSN program within one year; must be licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in WV; must be able to work as a team member and have excellent clinical skills; must have exceptional organizational and communication skills; and must possess an in-depth understanding and belief in community college and associate degree nursing education.  Preferences:  Two years experience teaching in a professional nursing program, psychiatric nursing experience, and Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.  Application review begins June 30, 2008.  Applications accepted until position is filled.
