The first class of Appalachian Leadership Academy fellows made a guest appearance on the Inside Southern program recorded at the Williamson campus TV studio of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College.

Hosted by Cindy Crigger, vice-president for communications, the fellows discussed their experiences and leadership skills they have attained during their first year in the program. Pictured are ALA Director Pauline Sturgill, Kevin Whitt, Dee Dee Williams, and Rita White. The leadership academy is a project developed by General Robert H. "Doc" Fogelsong, a native of Mingo County. The Williamson based chapter is sponsored by Cotiga Development Company. In order to apply for the Appalachian Leadership Academy, you must be a full time student at Southern. Those selected for the academy this fall, will received a full scholarship and $250 for books.
