New Southern graduate proudly displays diploma

July 1, 2020

In your degree confirmation letter, you were told diplomas should be available after June 30th, and many of you have contacted the campuses and even stopped by to pick up your diploma.  At the time of sending your letters, our hope was that we would have returned to regular campus operations; thus, diploma printing would be an easier process.  Unfortunately, this is not the case.  We are still working remotely; I am visiting the campus one day a week to tie up loose ends. Additionally, we have had delays in shipments of the graduation regalia (tassel and cords) we ordered to place with your diploma.

As of today, degrees are being finalized and diplomas are being prepared to be printed.  They will be ready for mail and pick up at a time in the near future.  You will be notified before the diplomas are mailed or available for pick up.  We do have to make special arrangements to ensure social distancing for your safety, as well as the safety of our employees.  Please do not visit the campuses until you receive your notice.

We appreciate your patience during this challenging time.  If you are in need of proof of your degree(s) or certificate(s) for employment or academic transfer purposes, you may refer to the degree confirmation letter that you were sent previously, or you may request a copy of your transcript through Southern’s electronic transcript service with National Student Clearinghouse.  You may find the link to the eTranscript service here.
