Southern to Host FAFSA Workshops Throughout November

LOGAN, WV – Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College’s Financial Aid Department will host a series of FAFSA Workshops in November to help students and their families complete the 2026–2027 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The workshops will be held on Thursday, November 6, Thursday, November 13, and Thursday, November 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Logan Campus, Student Services area. Participants are welcome to drop in anytime during the session.

These hands-on sessions are designed to help new and returning students navigate the financial aid process, explore available funding opportunities, and receive personalized assistance completing their FAFSA.

What to Bring:

• FSA ID (student and parent, if dependent)
• Social Security Number (and parents’, if dependent)
• 2024 tax information (W-2s and/or federal tax returns)
• Email address for both student and parent

The workshops are part of Southern’s ongoing effort to ensure every student has access to the financial resources needed to achieve their educational goals.
