Southern WV Community & Technical College Accepting Applications for Nursing and Allied Health Programs; Deadline February 12

Logan, W.Va. — Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College (Southern) is now accepting applications for its highly sought-after Nursing and Allied Health programs, with a February 12 deadline for the upcoming academic term.

Southern’s Nursing and Allied Health programs prepare students for rewarding, in-demand careers in the healthcare field through hands-on training, experienced faculty, and state-of-the-art facilities. Graduates are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to serve their communities and meet the growing healthcare workforce needs across the region.

Programs include pathways in nursing and a variety of allied health disciplines, offering students opportunities for stable employment, competitive wages, and meaningful work close to home.

“Healthcare careers continue to be among the most critical and fastest-growing fields in our region,” said Dr. Lisa Haddox-Heston, Dean of Southern’s Allied Health. “These programs provide students with the training they need to make an immediate impact while building a long-term, sustainable career.”

Due to limited enrollment and the competitive nature of healthcare programs, interested students are encouraged to apply as early as possible. Applicants must complete all required steps by February 12 to be considered.
For more information about program requirements, application steps, or advising support, prospective students should visit www.southernwv.edu or contact Susan Wolford at (304) 896-7385 or email .
