Welcome Message from the President

Hello and welcome to Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College. I am Dr. Corley Dennison. With 45-years of experience in higher education as a staff member, a faculty member and as an administrator, I am now delighted to serve as SWVCTC’s interim president

You will find that Southern has accessible campuses in Logan and Williamson with a friendly staff and caring faculty.  We have programs that fit your schedule.  Courses are offered both on-line and in-person.

No matter if you are looking for a post-secondary credential or a degree in an allied health field such as nursing or radiologic technology or paramedic science, Southern has the program for you.  Perhaps you want go into a trade such as welding or electrical engineering technology, Southern can get you there.  We have a number of programs to get you ahead in today’s workforce.

Maybe you are thinking about earning a two-year associate degree in business or criminal justice, Southern can get you there too.  Or, you want to obtain an associate’s degree then transfer to a four-year school for a bachelor’s degree.  Southern can help you meet that goal with associate of arts and associate of science degree transfer programs.
