Adam Banks joined the faculty at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College in the Fall of 2017. Adam teaches the Speech Fundamental Course and has a great time doing it! Adam has also been serving on the faculty senate since 2018 and has been Vice President of the senate since 2019. In addition to teaching, Adam currently hosts a weekly Live talk radio program on WLXU 93.9fm called Off The Cuff with Adam Banks. He previously hosted over 60 episodes of Midday KY, a live television talk show on the ABC network in Lexington, Ky. Adam feels that it is important to remain working in the field he teaches to give students a real world perspective of what it is like outside of the classroom. A significant passion of his, is assisting students in overcoming communication apprehension during public presentations in addition to developing verbal, nonverbal, and organizational efficiency in a variety of speaking opportunities.
