Biography

Bill has been a member of or involved in the media his entire adult life. He is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists. He graduated from Marshall University with a Journalism degree, where he worked for The Parthenon and WMUL. He worked for the Charleston Gazette as a reporter and a contributing editorial writer. He was also a contributing writer for The Associated Press. He was Assistant News Director for Logan Broadcasting. He successfully promoted his DJ Service and worked with various community service organizations. He worked in education teaching newsprint journalism and mass media. He was also a CTE instructor for Broadcast Technology and served as a sponsor for the school’s television news station, WLHS. He led the group to multiple state titles and a national championship from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. He received his Master’s degree from West Virginia University in Communications. He served as public relations director for The Aracoma Story Inc. developing marketing campaigns, designing promotional art, and writing press releases.
