LOGAN, WV — Southern West Virginia Community & Technical College is proud to offer a dynamic Salon Management/Cosmetology Program designed to equip students with the comprehensive skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in the cosmetology industry.

The program, available exclusively on Southern’s Logan campus, provides a progressive pathway toward professional licensure in multiple areas of the field. Students who complete the first, second, and fourth semesters will be eligible to receive licensure from the West Virginia Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists as a Nail Technician, Aesthetician, and Hair Stylist, respectively.

Upon completing all program requirements, graduates will be licensed as Professional Cosmetologists. Southern’s program exceeds the 1,800 clock-hour requirement the state board sets, offering students advanced training and preparation beyond industry standards.

“This program is designed to meet state requirements and give our students an edge in the beauty and wellness industry,” said Kelly Warren, Director of Southern’s Cosmetology and Salon Management program. “Our graduates leave with multiple certifications, hands-on experience, and the confidence to thrive in salons, spas, or as independent professionals.”

Enrollment is now open. For more information or to apply, contact Warren at or call (304) 896-7430.

Southern West Virginia Community & Technical College is committed to providing accessible, affordable, and high-quality education that prepares students for workforce success across Southern West Virginia and beyond.
