Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College’s Medical Laboratory Technology Class of 2026 has earned a 100% pass rate on the American Society for Clinical Pathology Medical Laboratory Technician certification exam.
The students worked diligently throughout the past two years to become eligible for the exam. Each member of the class achieved a passing score and earned the MLT(ASCP)CM credential.
According to the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification, its credentialing examinations are designed to establish standards for quality and patient safety in laboratory medicine and pathology. The organization uses rigorous examination development, psychometric analysis, accreditation, and fraud-protection measures to ensure its certifications reflect essential professional knowledge and skills, support career growth, and help advance patient care.
