Certificate Program

Selected

Phlebotomy prepares graduates as multi-skilled, flexible healthcare workers who work under the direction of licensed professionals such as medical laboratory technologists, registered nurses, radiologic technologists, surgical technologists, various practitioners, and physicians. Graduates may work in a variety of health care settings.

Phlebotomists receive and collect samples and work directly with patients. They sort, prepare, and process samples that will be tested and analyzed by a medical laboratory technologist or other health professional. Certification exams are available and students are encouraged to take appropriate national certification exams
